These are executed with a mixture of Charcoal and Pitt pastel. Each drawing is A2 and together they were my final piece for BA Drawing.
The figures in these drawings are all taken from life or from pose books, I have drawn most of them several times before drawing them into these compositions. Combining several drawings can be difficult because the perspectives and lighting do not match, drawing the poses separately helps me to understand these elements and create a more convincing combination.
I use Pitt pastel to do the initial marking out and the line work. The tone is created with a mixture of Pitt pastel and charcoal and some white conté has been used to lighten areas.
