I have started practicing inlay as a technique. I think It could be useful for putting makers marks and decorative details onto some of my pieces.
The one on the left is my first attempt, I didnt use any glue or filler to seat this one. The one on the right has epoxy to help keep it in place. Both of them are Cherry inlayed with Purpleheart.
This is my first attempt at using inlay in a project.
The pot is made from Photinia and the collar is made from leather. The inlay is more Purpleheart.
